Woolhouse Tools Margaret

I recently acquired a lovely new loom. It’s a Woolhouse Tools Margaret. 24 shafts!!! How much fun will that be?

One thing though, she’s just big enough that I can’t move her around by myself and fitting everything into my workshop is kind of like a jigsaw puzzle so I bought a new set of wheels for Margaret. Problem solved!!

Hmm. Now to figure out how to show you a picture LOL.

Well, it’s been so long since I updated my blog, it’s taken me a few days to figure out just how to do it.

I’m currently taking a break from lampworking and working on refining my weaving skills. I ordered a lovely loom from Sweden and am thoroughly enjoying it. It’s an Oxaback Ulla Cyrus and should most definitely out live me!

I’ll try to get some pictures of her this evening for you and some pics of the project that is just about 20″ from the finish line. Not to worry … the next one is already in the works!!

Winter Wonderland

Filed under: Miscellaneous Stuff — Miss P @ 12:06 pm

Just when I think we’ve see our last snow of the season, we have another bout of winter! That has nothing to do with beads though. So here is my latest set. What do you think? I’m loving my new camera/lens combo!

New Year, New Web Page, New Challenges

Filed under: Miscellaneous Stuff — Miss P @ 7:57 am

So, my son Jake is a CIS Major and he wants to set up my web page so that it has a cart system. I have to admit that it would be really nice to be able to take orders for beads here on my site. Hopefully he will get things up and running soon and you can come here to custom order your beads.

Another exciting development in our family is that Seth finally proposed to Bekah! We’re thrilled they will finally be married. Much of Saturday was spent with Sarah and Bekah looking at a venue for the big day, discussing budget limitations and a quick trip to the bridal shop to try on dresses. So exciting!

And finally, Miss Maggie finally had one of her feet fixed … she has fought with her bunions pretty much her whole life. She is still on crutches and in a lot of pain, but my Mom came up to stay the week with her and help chase those boys around.

Here’s a sampling of what is coming up on EBay and some pictures of the itty bitty beads that may soon be available on this site.

Whoa! Time Flies!

Well, here we are again. Christmas! This past year I really tried to step up my game. I’ve been to more craft fairs this year than in the past and actually done quite well (go me)!

It’s really strange how some days I log in and see a huge spike to the number of visits to my web page. I’m not really sure where that comes from. I can only assume that someone somewhere in some forum made a reference to the Niebling index. Who knows!

I’m always knitting, but have been really focusing on my lampwork and hot glass of late. I’ve got around 300 glass pendants stashed away for craft shows but decided that since the next one isn’t until August 2013, I’ll go ahead and list them in my Etsy shop. Check them out if you have a chance

Here’s a sneak peak of what’s in the Etsy shop and currently on EBay. Thanks for stopping by.

Yum … Strawberries!

Filed under: Fiber and Knitting — Miss P @ 4:07 pm

Well, I’ve been working on this one for a while. Here’s a shawl I made from a beautiful batch of 80/20 merino/silk I got from Fiber Optic Yarns. I spun it up into a lace weight yarn and then knit it into this beautiful shawl. The pattern is Fragaria, which means strawberry 🙂

Chokecherry Spacers … yum!
