My IPhone got wiped clean somehow and I’ve spent hours and hours on the computer getting that straightened out and taking pictures.

Thought I’d just quickly share my favorite bead this week. Hmmmm, well, I’m working on figuring [...]]]> Every wonder what happens to all the beads I make that don’t sell? Well, here’s the basics. Beads are first listed on EBay as an auction or a BIN. For the most part, my beads are selling well, but over the last week or so, suddenly nothing is selling! Hmmmm, well, I’m working on figuring out why that is and trying to not let it discourage me.

So, what happens to all those beads that don’t sell? Well I don’t re-list them on EBay. Since I only ask $9.99 for them, it isn’t worthwhile to incur the EBay fees again so they are listed on Etsy. (http://www.etsy.com/shop/missp)

If unsuccessful there, I have a box of beads that holds all unsold beads. This box is toted around to all the little craft fairs I sign up for. My kids have also learned about this box and know that with a little push, I can be convinced to give these beads away.

My son has an arrangement with a local shop to display some of my beads for sale, but I haven’t gotten any of the proceeds back somehow (LOL).

And finally, my friend Gerri works with a group at the local golf course. They make Christmas gifts for the orphan children in our area. The beads are perfect for making jewelry for the “tweener” kids. Kids that are too old for toys but love hip jewelry!

Guess I’ll keep making beads :)

While I LOVE the sport, it really is a bummer to be stuck on the back of someone elses 4-wheeler and since we only have one and since it WAS my 52nd birthday this week … well …

What can I say!  I can’t wait to get out of here LOL! I’ll be sure to take lots of pictures.

On the bead front, I just have to show you my latest experiment. I’m not completely happy with this one. It has a few flaws that make it unsellable on EBay. I had to order a slightly larger punch because I ended up grinding the holes on these to make they slightly larger (way too much work). Also, the punch I used must be ruined because the edge of every disk has a flaw. And on top of that, I must have cut the tubing a little long because one end of the tube split. Oh, and the bead design itself keeps the beads from fitting tightly together. But all that aside, I’m excited about the possibilities and will be revisiting this design.

If you would like to have this bead in spite of its flaws, I’ll let this one go to the first person who emails me for $20. I’ll get the shipping. (Please note the copper will patina)

In the meantime, I’m still trying to stick my foot in the EBay door. EBay is ruthlessly cruel if you take a break. Your loyal and faithful customers move on to the next bead maker.
